Il parco si trova nel 15° arrondissement dove un tempo vi erano i vigneti Périchot, in seguito sostituiti dai mattatoi di Vaugirard. La torre-campanile è una parte de la vente criée, una sorta di mercato coperto dove venivano vendute le carni e i prezzi erano negoziati come in un’asta. Oggi il parco, grazie alle sue strutture e alle sue attività, è un piccolo rifugio per grandi e per bambini.

The park is located in the 15th arrondissement where once there were the Périchot vineyards, later replaced by the Vaugirard slaughterhouses. The bell tower is a part of the vente criée, a sort of covered market where meat was sold and prices were negotiated as in an auction. Today the park, thanks to its facilities and activities, is a small refuge for adults and children.
